Our
Head of State and
Head of Government is the Chairman, currently HG Sir. Philip Fish.
He heads a government consisting of around 15 various ministries and offices. These are headed by ministers who are appointed and removed at the Chairman's will.
There is also an active public service, which provides permanent secretaries, permanent under-secretaries and other staff to some ministries, such as the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Public servants are not politically aligned and generally remain in office longer than ministers.
A citizen cannot be a member of government and a member of the public service at the same time.
Any citizen is eligible to become a member of government or public service.
